Santa Cruz Film Festival Guide

Residents of Santa Cruz, the love of a good party, and every year the entire county is celebrating with a full calendar of festivals and events. Add to your Favorites list of events, so do not miss the fun.
January:
Mushroom Fair: For two days every January, the Fungus Federation celebrates the joy of fungi. Attend cooking demonstrations, mushroom, and even bring your samples for identification.
May
Santa Cruz Film Festival: more than a week in May, more than 100 films (many) Home Made, are in the local theaters, along with a flurry of festivals, debates and award ceremonies.
June
Woodies on the Wharf: For three days in late June, the flow of people from all parts of North America to see, more than 200 vintage wooden body Wharf on display at Santa Cruz. In combination with social events and good food, this is probably one of the world's most popular gatherings wood.
July and August to August, a month, crazy celebrations in Santa Cruz County:
Shakespeare Santa Cruz in July and August, the Mainstage at UCSC Theatre Arts Center is a showcase of Shakespearean productions. Enjoy a variety of parts followed panel discussions, including a series of community events.
Scotts Valley Art & Wine Festival: Some of the best wineries and microbreweries in the area gather in Skypark and offering tastings feature wine and beer. Spend the day browsing dozens of boxes of art jury, eat well and enjoy live entertainment.
Aloha Outrigger Races & Polynesian Festival in Hawaii, California, we meet with this amazing display of Polynesian culture. Experience the excitement of outrigger canoe racing, buy a lei of fresh flowers, Hawaiian hula dancing to watch while eating shaved ice, Maori face painting and experience. Admission is free and there is plenty to do for children.

Capitola Art and Wine Festival: Every Labor Day weekend will be the residents of Capitola, sipping wine, surfing and art exhibits in this two-day festival to find.

Mission Adobe Day: At the Santa Cruz Mission State Historic Park, this great family event offers displays of local history, as authenticBrick, tortilla-making and other crafts.
Monterey Bay Birding Festival: Elkhorn Slough Estuarine Reserve At, is increasing at the end of September, time for lovers of rare birds and birding in this area.
October
O'Neill Cold Water Classic: The four days of surfing competition takes place in the fourth week of October at Steamer Lane in Santa Cruz. The longest running surf contest in Northern California Classic attracts professionals from all over the cold waterGlobe. Spectators watch from the cliff lined bar with views of a crescent-shaped bay for his place to stop and huge waves.
Open Art Studio Tour: A variety of artists open their studios to the public during the first three weekends in October.
Pacific Rim Film Festival the second weekend of October, the popular festival presents films from countries like Korea, Indonesia, Thailand, New Zealand and other places along the Pacific Ocean.
