Review of the Lyle Lovett CD Step Inside This House

One word describes the CD Step Inside This House from Lyle Lovett... AWESOME!

The CD kicks off with a great track, Bears, that I suspect will be heard on radio stations everywhere, and deservedly so. It really is a very nice track.

Step Inside This House has a nicely varied, mix of Bears tracks that are very well written songs by this clearly gifted artist. With many of the songs displaying a lot of the kind emotion that makes for a really great listen. Seemingly drawing from what I can only imagine are him own personal experiences. At different points touching on the most real emotions like love, and the pain of failed relationships can certainly be heard.

Listen and I think you'll agree that the song choices are excellent, the production is outstanding and Lyle Lovett is clearly in top form.

While this entire album is outstanding some of my favorites are track 3 - disc 1 - Step Inside This House, track 5 - disc 2 - Babes In The Woods, and track 10 - disc 2 - Texas River Song

My Bonus Pick, and the one that got Sore [...as in "Stuck On REpeat"] is track 1 - Disc 1 - Bears. Good stuff!

Inside the Acid House scene - Part One

Acid House was the 1980 brand DJ in Chicago, the center was experimenting with the Roland TB-303 electronic synthesizer-sequencer. The London Club Shoom was among the first to introduce in England, the acid house sound on the 1987 clubbers. The club was run by DJ Danny Rampling and his wife Jenny inSouthwark, London, for an exclusive, small number of followers. But a secret that the property could not be contained and the acid house spread like wildfire through the city of London and the counties and across England kick-off what became known as the Second Summer of Love.

It 'was a sociological phenomenon, transforming youth culture as a people united under the banner of acid house, taking Ecstasy, accused of illegal raves, everything is smooth, everything was love,as San Francisco two decades earlier, ergo the second summer of love.
