Avoid any controversy over this video address, (see response to our video or read the transcript below): www.youtube.com We knew that this video was to be controversial. Anytime race is discussed in any capacity, is controversial. The concept of racial reconciliation was a joint effort between the Red House staff andus. They pointed out that their employees and customers were like the "Rainbow Coalition, and we thought something would be fun with a comic about racial reconciliation, as well as a conversation starter. For those of you who think this video is racist we would want between "racist" and "different race". Racism is "hatred or intolerance of another race or other races." Without distinction of race "by, through or on the basis of race." This video is obviously the race, as opposed toracist. This video does not promote or feature, hatred or intolerance. It is rather the opposite. This commercial promotes integration and reconciliation, if not in a funny way. Point out the obvious, is the irony in this video, it completely ridiculous furniture for people refer to their race. People of all colors are welcome in the Red House, something that will be taken for granted nowadays, but there was a time in the not so distant past, where things as simple as aWells were not for all. If Saturday Night Live, Mad TV, Dave Chappelle, or for that matter, were to racial issues in a comical manner something) they all do very regularly (address, they would have pushed the envelope MUCH more. Discussing race in the United States is taboo. It always makes people feel uncomfortable. We think it's a shame that someone says, "I know" or "I'm black," creates such a stir. There are real cultural identity in the different groups, people, and these thingsshould be celebrated and embraced, not swept under the carpet. This video is an attempt to use humor to spark a discussion about race issues, because we still have a long way to go. Rhett & Link
